USING POWDER IN THE GLOVES

During the latex gloves manufacturing it is very common the usage of some kind of powder to make it easier when wearing or taking them off and also for them not to glue to each other. It's important not only to wear reduced protein content gloves, below de 100 µg/gram of glove material, but also gloves with the suitable powder quantity. Wearing high protein content gloves and with excessive powder quantity - Imagine the risk of these two factors in a surgery room!

It's precisely with this powder that the latex proteins which cause allergy are sometimes spread, during the handle of the gloves.

The latex proteins particles may be associated to powder particles, going to the air to be inhaled, getting in touch with the mucous membranes.
